RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume >100,000 visit ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Every other weekend scheduling required, no block scheduling available
• No floating outside of ED but must be flexible to work in all sections within the Emergency Department
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout their visit
• Support staff includes techs available for cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing, plus unit clerks for day and night shifts
