RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on a progressive care unit with 23 step-down beds and 16 medical-surgical beds
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for step-down patients and 1:4-6 for medical-surgical patients
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 4 PCTs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, and 4 PCTs
• Work with specialized equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and trachs
• EMR system is Cerner
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience working with trachs required
• Previous Cerner experience preferred
• Perform typical procedures including trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Float to other medical-surgical and progressive care units as needed
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Weekend requirement of 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
• Must demonstrate flexibility and high level of clinical competence
