RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 13-week contract position working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend scheduling
• Work in 32-bed private room telemetry unit on 4th floor
• Maintain 5:1 patient ratio
• Work with GE Telemetry, Pyxis, Welch Allen Vital Sign Monitors, and GE B450 Bedside monitors
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Required skills include cardiac rhythm interpretation, respiratory experience with advanced airways and oxygen management, and cardiac drips (not titrated)
• CPR certification required; ACLS/ALS preferred
• May float to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED holding areas
• Perform typical procedures including stress tests, heart catheterization, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tubes
• Navy scrubs required
• Team player attitude essential
