RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department at a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Handle high-volume emergency care with over 100,000 visits annually
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the ED (no floating outside the department)
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful behavior with focus on patient experience
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing areas
• Unit clerks available on days and nights
