RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No call requirements
• Work 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 5 patients
• Work with cardiac and neurological patients on a 34-bed telemetry unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• BSN preferred
• Experience with GE telemetry monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and feeding pumps
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
• Perform cardiac assessments, manage cardiac drips and medications
• Handle post-catheterization procedures including ablation, pacemaker, defibrillator, and Watchman procedures
• Conduct acute stroke assessments using NIH stroke scale and perform neurological checks
• Manage dysphagia protocols
• Dress code requires navy scrubs

Facility:

This medical center features a comprehensive cardiac and neurological telemetry unit located on the 3rd floor of the North Tower. The facility operates a 34-bed unit with modern equipment including GE telemetry monitoring systems and utilizes Meditech EMR technology. The unit maintains appropriate staffing levels with CNCs, RNs, and PCTs working collaboratively to provide specialized cardiac and neurological care. The facility focuses on advanced cardiac procedures and acute stroke care with a commitment to excellence in patient outcomes.
