RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week scheduling requirement
• Alternating weekend schedule
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with RNs only staffing model (no HUC or PCT)
• Required to float to all areas
• Work with advanced equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Required understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Participate in procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• ICU experience required
• CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated but not required
• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work)
