RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, through IV) and record prescribed medications
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with facility policies
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients
• Interpret and record electronic displays
• Provide bedside care for medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment
• Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education initiatives
• Record all care information accurately and completely in appropriate formats
• Must have Idaho RN or multi-state compact license
• Must have BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Must have 2 years Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting
• Position created for coverage during leave
