RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Will float on a rotational basis
• Must wear black scrubs only
• Patient ratios vary: Days 1:5-1:6, Nights 1:6-1:7 (ratios not guaranteed)
• Work with 32-bed neurology unit caring for neuro, medical, and medical telemetry patients
• Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• 1 year telemetry experience required (inpatient only)
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• 1 year neuro experience preferred (inpatient only)
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, NIHSS (may obtain prior to start)
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
