RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3 shifts per week
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float pool position requiring willingness to float between departments and four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Must have telemetry experience to apply
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: Arizona license, BLS, ACLS
• Patient ratios typically 1:6 in Med Surg/Telemetry departments, 1:4-5 in ED holding area
• EMR system: Cerner
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Float across Med Surg departments (Ortho/Neuro), Telemetry, and potentially PCU depending on skill level
• May care for admitted patients in ED waiting for beds upstairs
• Typically assigned to one unit per shift with rare occasions of moving between units based on census
• Provide patient care utilizing nursing process, demonstrate critical thinking skills and leadership
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities and supervise assigned personnel
• 13-week assignment starting ASAP, preferably within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
