RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Must have 1 year ICU experience, inpatient only
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license required (must meet Missouri licensure criteria)
• Will float on rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg
• Work on 26-bed Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU unit
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1
• Care for neuro, trauma, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress patients, and insulin drips
• Work with equipment including Philips monitors, chest tubes, art lines, wound vacs, drains, EVDs, Nicom, BIPAP, and Airvo
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Black scrubs required - no other colors or attire acceptable except Mercy-logo attire
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift with full week availability required
• Must be team player and maintain professional accountability for patient care
• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
