Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Work in a 36-bed progressive care unit (5W MEDICINE 610)
• Day shift staffed with charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Current ratios: Day RN 1:5/6 patients
• Night shift staffed with charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Current ratios: Night RN 1:6/7 patients
• Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shift on night shift)
• Prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room procedures
• Work with medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s in every patient room
• Use work stations on wheels and Tap and Go computer/documentation access
• Document using Cerner EMR system
• Float to Medical-Surgical units: 3W, 5W, K8 (sister units)
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with navy bottom, or all white
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred: Medical Telemetry experience, Leadership experience, Charge Nurse experience, BSN
• CMSRN certification encouraged
• Must be hard-working, compassionate, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
