Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling: 6:45 AM-7:15 PM, 6:45 PM-7:15 AM, or 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM start times
• Night shifts, Friday through Sunday schedule
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday, Saturday, Sunday counted as weekend)
• Holiday work expected as part of permanent staff rotation
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• BSN not required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 to 4:1
• Handle approximately 250 patient visits per day
• Work with 24-bed emergency department with fast track capability
• Use Cerner PowerChart EMR system
• Scrub color requirement: Blue for RNs
• One day of floor-specific orientation provided
• Care for patients with STEMI, cardiac conditions, sepsis, ETOH, stroke, DKA, and various acute conditions
• Work alongside charge nurses, ER techs, MDs, PAs, and NPs
• 22 hardwired GE monitors available in rooms and at nurses station
• Support from 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services
• Phlebotomists available for lab draws except central lines

This acute care medical center features a comprehensive emergency department with 24 beds and advanced monitoring capabilities. The facility operates as a STEMI receiving center and provides three levels of emergency care: fast track, treat and anticipate disposition, and acute care. The emergency department maintains 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy and pharmacy, with specialized staff including ER technicians and a dedicated charge nurse who focuses on unit management rather than direct patient care.
