RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends
• 36 hours per week scheduling requirement
• Float to all areas as needed
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• Must be capable with ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery procedures
• ICU experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vasocative medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Must be familiar with ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation required
• Work with equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia units
• Participate in procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Advanced skills desirable include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• Must wear all navy scrubs or navy and white combination scrubs
• No pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs allowed
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Work in 16-bed unit with RN-only staffing (no unit secretaries or techs)
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift
