RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week requirement
• Alternating weekends required
• Float to all areas as needed
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• ICU experience required with focus on CVICU, E4 heart step-down, and Cath lab recovery
• Must be capable with ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery procedures
• Required skills: Titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilator experience, tracheostomy care, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamics understanding, PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Advanced skills preferred: IABP, Impella, CRRT experience
• Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia devices
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Participate in procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions
• Dress code: All navy scrubs or combination of navy and white only
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift
