RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Alternating weekends required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• Float to all areas as part of float pool position
• Work in 16-bed cardiac intensive care unit
• Unit staffed with RNs only - no unit secretaries or patient care technicians
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• CCRN certification recommended
• IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
• ICU experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vasopressor medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics
• Must have experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, telemetry interpretation
• Must understand hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Work with equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia devices
• Participate in procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs - no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs
• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
