RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week in 12-hour shifts
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios: 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• Float to all areas as needed
• 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit with RNs only (no unit secretary or patient care technicians)
• Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Required skills include ventilator experience, tracheostomy care, telemetry interpretation, and understanding of hemodynamics
• Must be proficient with PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Experience with transvenous pacing and cardioversion required
• Assist with procedures including central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs)
• ICU experience required
