RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be indicated on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend requirements as needed by facility/every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 on 29-bed surgical stepdown unit
• Float to departments with same acuity or lower when needed
• Required: Current RN license eligible for Missouri, BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• 2 years stepdown experience required
• Must have stepdown or ICU experience, post-op care, BiPAP, cardiac drips, time management, and critical thinking skills
• Care for post-op patients (high acuity surgeries), trauma patients, and high acuity medical patients
• Work with EPIC EMR system
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1
• Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance, bending and stooping
