RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4 on a 22-bed unit
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Current RN license (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)
• 1 year stepdown experience required (inpatient only)
• Must have trach/vent experience - this is a respiratory heavy floor
• Work with equipment including TRACH, VENT, VAPO, BIPAP
• Use EPIC EMR system
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer
• Dress code requires black scrubs only
• Night shift orients on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Maintain professional accountability and coordinate patient care with other departments
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and high risk exposure to blood and body fluids
