RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Must have cardiovascular (CV) experience specifically with cardiac surgeries including coronary artery bypass and valve replacements
• Work in 15-bed cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) unit
• 1:1 patient ratios required
• Monday through Friday scheduling
• On-call requirements include night and weekend call shifts
• Float to main OR if no CVOR cases available
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Experience with DaVinci assisted thoracoscopy required
• Must be competent to perform as lead in specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, Burn and Vascular Surgery
• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment during heart surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain sterile field vigilance
• Assist with sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating endoscopic camera
• Procedures performed include cardiac, general, vascular, neuro, spine, trauma, ortho, burn, ENT, transplant, and robotic surgeries
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Two years prior experience in similar size facility with similar services required
• Surgical scrubs provided
