RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• No floating outside of ED but must be flexible to work in all sections within the Emergency Department
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs (all navy, all white, or combination of navy and white)
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center experience in high volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Follow AIDET protocols, respectful behavior standards, and maintain updated patient boards throughout visits
• Strict tobacco-free campus policy including personal vehicles in designated parking areas
