RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 101-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratios typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Schedule requires every other weekend, must meet department needs and cannot commit to block scheduling
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department (no floating outside ED)
• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume >100,000 visit ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Follow AIDET principles, respectful behavior, and patient experience standards
• Update patient boards and keep patients informed throughout their visit
• Dress code requires navy scrubs (all navy, all white, or combination of navy and white)
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift
• Tobacco use prohibited on all campus properties including parking areas
