RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• 5 days per week, 40 hours total
• Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality client care
• Complete physical and mental health assessments including vital signs, risk assessments, and withdrawal assessments (COWS)
• Administer and monitor treatment regimens and prescribed medications
• Observe and report behavioral changes in clients
• Maintain control of drugs and medications
• Triage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with nursing staff, PA, NP, Medical Director, and outside providers
• Record all care information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Direct care provided by licensed practical nurses
• Ensure OASAS/Medicaid regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with various departments in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities
• Associates Degree in Nursing from accredited school required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CPI (must complete within 3 months of hire)
• Must successfully complete medication competency exam
• Required specialties: Med-Surg and Psych experience
• Rehab experience preferred
