RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within full scope of practice
• Assess patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex conditions
• Develop individualized care plans using person-centered care approach
• Plan and prioritize both expected and unanticipated patient care needs
• Implement technical skills required for patient and family care
• Work collaboratively as member of interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills in clinical decision-making
• Maintain 1:6-8 patient ratio dependent on acuity, nursing assistant staff, and charge duties
• Document care effectively and comply with established clinical documentation practices
• Participate in development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of patient programs and services
• Address patients' physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs
• Use Epic electronic health record system
• BLS certification preferred
• Act as resource to peers and assist in implementing standards of patient care
• Demonstrate awareness of evidence-based practice in nursing
