Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse, Operating Room
Location
- Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week, mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
- Call required: about three weeknights per month (5 PM–7 AM) and one weekend day per month (7 AM–7 AM)
Job Description
- Role: Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room
- Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective care to surgical patients
- Serve as patient advocate for anesthetized patients
- Care for patients across all age groups: prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
- Collaborate on an interdisciplinary level, adapting communication to patient’s intellectual and physical abilities
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
