RN – Coronary Care Unit
Location
- Louisville, Kentucky
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Full-time, 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shift
Role Overview
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiac ICU setting
- Care includes patients with severe heart conditions, advanced devices, and invasive monitoring
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1–2 patients per nurse
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- CCU - Coronary Care (1 year of experience)
- CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Education
- BSN
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Provide patient and family education
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and care planning
- Delegate and oversee patient care tasks as appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement activities and documentation monitoring
