RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Wheeling, West Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends and holidays as needed
Unit Overview
- 30 beds
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6/7
- One charge RN on the floor with an assignment
- PCTs are on the unit
- Telemetry is monitored remotely by monitor techs
Patient Population
- CHF
- COPD
- Cellulitis
- Rule-out cases
- Cholecystitis
- Appendicitis
- Pneumonia
- Urosepsis
- AKI
Clinical Responsibilities
- Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Must be able to work within a 1:7 ratio
- Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license
- Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
Additional Notes
- Floating may be required based on census, with external travelers floating first
- No standby or call requirement
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Intermittent BiPAP used on the unit
