RN - Progressive Care Unit
Location
Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length
13 weeks
Shift
Night shift, 12 hours per day
Every other weekend
Job Summary
Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in a progressive care setting. The role includes patient and family education, delegation to licensed and non-licensed staff, mentoring/precepting, teamwork, and participation in quality and safety improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- 2 years of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic

Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and reassessments
- Initiate, prioritize, implement, review, and revise the plan of care
- Monitor and document response to clinical interventions
- Provide and coordinate patient and family education
- Delegate tasks and support teamwork and quality improvement efforts
