Sonographer

Location

• Fargo, North Dakota

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program
• 3 years of experience in the specialty
• RDCS or RCS certification
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NDMIRT, or willingness to obtain it
• Pediatric experience

Job Duties

• Perform inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms
• Occasionally perform stress echocardiograms and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms

Schedule

• Mostly clinic and hospital shifts starting between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM
• One weekend per month on call with another staff member
• One day per week on call
• May work alone after hours if called in

Work Setting

• Rotates between clinic and hospital campuses
• Orientation begins in clinic, then moves to the hospital for way-finding
• Expected orientation period is no longer than two weeks

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• Clinicians must badge in and out
• Scrub color is gray
• Applicants who have previously worked for Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
