Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• May be placed on call in a low-census rotation
• May float within the facility and to Park Falls and Weston

Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• RN experience in ICU or pediatrics is preferred
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must be able to read rhythm strips

Unit Details

• 20 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: IMC 1:4; ICU 1:2; pediatric 1:3-4
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• CNAs are available
• Respiratory therapy is available 24/7

Common Patient Population

• Adult and pediatric patients with cardiac, pulmonary, neurologic, skin, GI, GU, orthopedic, sepsis, and outpatient infusion needs

Equipment / Treatments

• CPAP
• BiPAP
• Vapotherm
• Servo U ventilators
• Hamilton ventilators
• Common drips include heparin, insulin, amiodarone, Cardizem, PCA fentanyl, propofol, and norepinephrine

Orientation

• 1 day of computer-based training and hospital orientation
• 1-2 days of on-shift orientation

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Prior experience with this employer must end at least 6 months before submission if previously employed there
