Contract Length

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Self-scheduling with manager balancing
• Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required
• No call

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• 2 years of Med Surg, PCU, or ICU experience
• Recent experience in a similar setting within the last year
• Drip titration experience
• Must be open to learning trach and vent care
• Open to first-time travelers

Unit Details

• 28-bed PCU/Neuro Trauma unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-6, depending on acuity
• Common patient population includes neuro and trauma/orthopedic cases
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• Nursing assistants are available
• Central monitoring is located separately
• Floating required to sister medical-surgical units and other specialties

Additional Notes

• Solid-color scrubs required
• Orientation includes 1 general shift and 1 shift with a preceptor
• Clinicians who have previously worked at this facility must have ended that assignment at least 6 months before submission
• Clock in and out at the facility
