Registered Nurse

Location

Morgantown, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Night shift
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Expect to work about half of recognized holidays

Unit Overview

Stepdown/MedSurg flex unit
29 beds, currently under construction, with all beds planned to be stepdown equipped in first quarter 2026
Cares for both med-surg and stepdown patients
Primarily medical diagnoses
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 6:1 for med-surg and 3:1 for stepdown

Required Qualifications

Active RN role
BLS (AHA)
EPIC experience
Ability to manage either 6 med-surg patients or 3 stepdown patients
Ability to titrate drips as ordered

Clinical Details

Common drips include heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, PCA pain medications, and TPN
May care for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and vents in stepdown
RNs are not expected to read their own telemetry strips

Staffing and Support

Charge RNs and house supervisors are available 24/7
Nurse aides are available
First to float or be pulled to other floor/stepdown units

Dress Code

Royal blue and white combination

Additional Notes

No call or standby requirement
New and experienced nurses are welcome
