OB RN

Overview

Contract role in Machias, Maine
Day shift: 7am to 7pm
Provides care on the OB unit for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
One year of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience in an acute care setting
Post Partum experience
BLS
ACLS
Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate
STABLE
AWHONN
C-EFM

Responsibilities

Independently provides holistic, individualized nursing care using the nursing process
Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
Manages supplies and equipment
Promotes teamwork with physicians and other hospital departments
Adheres to nursing standards and hospital policies
Maintains confidentiality and supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values
