Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN with recent med/surg oncology experience, BLS certification, and night shift availability.

Details

• Hospital-based position on a 24-bed Oncology/Women’s Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Typical patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5
• Standard unit equipment utilized
• Electronic Medical Record used is Cerner
• Floating to other med-surg units is rare
• Staff must work 6 weekend days per schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology or related med/surg specialty
• Chemo certification required for oncology nurses
• No gaps in work history equal to or exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis
• Team players who are willing to learn will fit best in this environment
• Dress code for RNs is navy, white, or a combination of both
• Rare call requirements may occur
• Basic hospital policies and guidelines apply
