Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN with recent med/surg oncology experience, BLS certification, and night shift availability.
Details
- Hospital-based position on a 24-bed Oncology/Women’s Surgical unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Typical patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5
- Standard unit equipment utilized
- Electronic Medical Record used is Cerner
- Floating to other med-surg units is rare
- Staff must work 6 weekend days per schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology or related med/surg specialty
- Chemo certification required for oncology nurses
- No gaps in work history equal to or exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Typical procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis
- Team players who are willing to learn will fit best in this environment
- Dress code for RNs is navy, white, or a combination of both
- Rare call requirements may occur
- Basic hospital policies and guidelines apply
