Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a postpartum/mother baby unit with current DC RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a postpartum/mother baby unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes vaginal delivery, C-section, and gynecological surgery cases
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, working three days per week
- Must be available for 13-week assignment
- No on-call responsibilities are listed
- Provide safe, competent nursing care for postpartum, newborn, and post-surgical GYN patients
- Serve as a professional leader and resource to the healthcare team
- Adhere to patient-centered care principles and service excellence standards
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members
- Must live at least 25 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are not specified as accepted or restricted
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum two years recent postpartum/mother baby experience in a US hospital required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly preferred
- Two manager or supervisor references from the past 12 months are preferred, including one from the most recent employer
- Social Security Number required for consideration
- CPI certification mandated for this position

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
