Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Surgical ICU night shift position requiring a NC or compact license and at least 1 year of recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Neuro Surgical Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Assignment length is 26 weeks
Background check and standard compliance documentation required prior to start
No Canadian Social Security Numbers accepted
Must provide complete work and credentialing documentation for consideration

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent neuro surgical ICU experience
At least 2 years of overall RN experience preferred
No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certifications required, valid for at least 30 days from start
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital

Cons

Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
