Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and intermediate fetal monitoring skills.

Details

Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
Caring for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation, including laboring, scheduled procedures, and triage
Perform admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, vaginal and C-section deliveries
Utilize fetal monitors and Fetalink documentation systems
Cerner EMR experience required
Scheduled for 3 night shifts per week, each 12 hours

Requirements

Active DC RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required (AHA only)
Intermediate AWHONN electronic fetal monitoring certification required
CPI certification mandated for the position
At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in a US hospital required
Cerner EMR experience required
Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility

Additional Information

Patient population includes females of childbearing age with a range of obstetric needs
Daily tasks include monitoring, assisting with deliveries, and documenting care
Two manager or supervisor references preferred verifying recent experience
Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
Scrub color or dress code requirements may apply
