Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Caring for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation, including laboring, scheduled procedures, and triage
- Perform admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, vaginal and C-section deliveries
- Utilize fetal monitors and Fetalink documentation systems
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Scheduled for 3 night shifts per week, each 12 hours
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required (AHA only)
- Intermediate AWHONN electronic fetal monitoring certification required
- CPI certification mandated for the position
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience in a US hospital required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Patient population includes females of childbearing age with a range of obstetric needs
- Daily tasks include monitoring, assisting with deliveries, and documenting care
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred verifying recent experience
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
- Scrub color or dress code requirements may apply
