Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a current CA RN license and recent L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient care involves laboring women, deliveries, and high-risk obstetric cases
• Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
• Provide skilled nursing care to mothers during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must meet specific documentation requirements for consideration
• Local and travel candidates are both accepted at the same rate
• Must comply with internal policy limiting assignment duration to a maximum of two years

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time L&D experience required
• Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• High-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
• Five or more years of recent L&D experience preferred
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
