Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry position in a float pool, requiring AZ or compact license and two years of recent telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital float pool, providing care across MS/Telemetry units
- Patient ratio is 6:1
- Requires floating between four hospitals within the network
- Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week
- Must work six weekend shifts within each six-week schedule
- Responsibilities include shift accountability, applying the nursing process, delegating tasks, and supervising assigned staff
- Clinical competencies must be maintained through ongoing education
- Limited RTO accepted; requests must be for fewer than seven days
- Previous travelers who worked as perm staff within two years are not eligible
Requirements
- Active AZ or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (none expiring within 30 days of start)
- Minimum two years of recent telemetry experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
- Not eligible if worked as perm staff at any CHS facility in the past two years
- No local travelers permitted within a 50-mile radius
