Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry float pool position requiring AZ or compact licensure and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based float pool covering medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Nurses will float between four facilities as needed: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Patient ratio is 6:1
• Requires six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Care is provided for adult telemetry and medical-surgical patients
• The RN provides patient care utilizing the nursing process according to hospital policies
• Role requires critical thinking and leadership in supervising care and coordinating shift priorities
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Orientation and floating between multiple departments and facilities are expected
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Must be willing to work holidays as scheduled

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• No local travelers permitted within a 50-mile radius
• No certifications should expire within the first 30 days of assignment
• No work gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months accepted
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
