Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact license and recent ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an Emergency Care Center within a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 26-week contract assignment
• Patient population consists of emergency cases of varying acuity
• Must provide care to a diverse patient population with urgent and emergent health needs
• Expect a fast-paced environment requiring rapid decision-making and multi-tasking
• Reference checks, skills checklist, and license verification required for consideration
• Must be prepared to provide documentation including full SSN and DOB

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license is required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ER nursing experience
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS and ACLS certifications required, unexpired for at least 30 days after start
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent certification required (SAMA, MAB, ACPMA may also be accepted)
• U.S. Social Security Number (no Canadian SSNs) and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
