Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN for a travel assignment requiring a NM or compact RN license and two years of specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiovascular Cath Lab setting
• Care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, 4 shifts per week (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Call required during nights, weekends, and holidays based on staffing needs
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles may be required
• Epic EMR experience preferred, but training will be provided if needed
• Perform patient assessments and document according to unit protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered or by standard protocols
• Participate in emergency situations and assist with procedures
• Team-based environment with flexibility to float as needed
• Completion and passing of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Testing required during orientation; one retake allowed
• Failure to pass cardiac arrhythmia testing after two attempts will result in assignment termination
• Scrub or dress code in accordance with hospital standards

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN experience required
• Completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
• Must wait one year after previous permanent employment at the facility to be reconsidered as a traveler
