Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, two years of recent L&D experience, and night shifts.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Caring for females of childbearing age including pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures, and triage cases
- Admits, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and cesarean deliveries are performed
- Standard equipment includes fetal monitors; documentation uses Cerner and Fetalink
- 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
- 25-mile minimum distance from facility required for travelers
Requirements
- Active DC RN license with no pending status
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring
- Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a US hospital
- Experience with Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems required
- Mandated CPI certification
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying recent L&D experience
- Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient triage, supporting labor and delivery, assisting with scheduled obstetric procedures, and handling admissions, discharges, and pre-op care
- Team-based environment with on-unit support for admissions and deliveries
- COVID and flu vaccinations may be required
- Holiday coverage requirements as assigned
- Scrub dress code to be followed as per hospital policy
- First-time travelers are not mentioned; experienced candidates preferred
