Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT certification, WA license, and Level III+ acute care experience for a high-volume trauma environment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an Imaging Department at a Level III Trauma Center
• Work primarily with ER and ICU patients, handling general, diagnostic, interventional, and critical cases
• Over 100 patients are seen in a 24-hour period
• There are 3 CT suites using Siemens equipment, including Dual Source CT 128 Flash and Definition 64/128, with no prior Siemens experience required
• Fixed 12-hour evening shifts, including Friday (9:00 AM–9:30 PM), Saturday, and Sunday (1:00 PM–1:30 AM)
• Scheduling may involve every other holiday and 1-2 night call shifts per month from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• EMR system used is Epic, PACS is Change Healthcare, and Pyxis is used for medication dispensing
• Typically will not float to other units
• Support provided by a lead CT Technologist, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, interventional radiologists, and radiology PAs
• Free parking available
• Primary responsibilities include performing CT scans for ER, ICU, and interventional procedures, and assisting with critical or cardiac cases
• Team includes up to 5 CT technologists during busy hours, reducing to 3 after 5 PM
• IR physicians and radiology PAs assist with cases during the day; remote radiologist support at night
• Orientation includes 1 week in department, may be extended as needed
• Any professional solid-color scrubs allowed; no logos or designs
• COVID vaccine required
• First-time travelers considered if experienced in similar environments
• References required from supervisors or above
• Approval for requested time off is subject to manager discretion

Requirements

• Current ARRT (CT & R) certification required
• Current Washington State license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Must have acute care experience in a large Level III or higher trauma facility
• Experience with ER, critical care, and interventional CT procedures required
• Cardiac CT experience preferred
• One year of experience required in a high-volume setting
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
