Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit requiring an active OK or compact RN license and current AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit
Patient population includes pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Assignment duration is 13 weeks
No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
Responsible for administering medications, monitoring IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures
Document patient responses and coordinate care with physicians and support staff
Delegation of tasks to support staff and engagement with the interdisciplinary care team
Must adhere to dress code and hospital policy requirements

Requirements

Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
Ability to apply professional nursing concepts and techniques in a pediatric setting
