Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit requiring an active OK or compact RN license and current AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit
  • Patient population includes pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
  • Responsible for administering medications, monitoring IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures
  • Document patient responses and coordinate care with physicians and support staff
  • Delegation of tasks to support staff and engagement with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Must adhere to dress code and hospital policy requirements

Requirements

  • Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Ability to apply professional nursing concepts and techniques in a pediatric setting
