Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel position in Michigan with night shifts and a current MI RN license required.

Responsibilities

Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract assignment
Direct patient care for critically ill adult patients
Applicants must have a permanent address located more than 60 miles from the assignment facility
COVID-19 vaccination card required
Team-based environment focused on high acuity patient care
Not accepting local candidates within a 60-mile radius

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required
Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; RQI certifications are not accepted
Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
Cannot have been employed as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere during the assignment

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
