Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant experience, along with an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Handles neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases
• 16 staffed OR beds with an average daily census of 60 cases
• Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm
• On-call required one night per week and for holidays, with at least one Friday call shift
• Requires floating within scope to other areas and to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Utilizes Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of complex surgical cases
• First-time travelers are considered for this assignment
• All staff must be willing to float within the health system and up to 75 miles to other facilities if needed
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no holiday time off granted
• Modules must be completed during orientation as assigned
• No block scheduling is permitted for this contract
• Scrub attire requirements align with hospital policy

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license at the time of application
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience with neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant cases
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred
• Must complete and pass EKG/Dysrhythmia competency testing if offered
• Must provide a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a matching utility bill with address more than 75 miles from the facility
• Only candidates who have not been employed at the facility in the past year are eligible
• Must submit two supervisory references for consideration
• No license disciplinary actions permitted
