Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team with pediatric IV placement expertise and a current MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care pediatric hospital on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
- Care for a pediatric to adult patient population requiring vascular access procedures
- Day and night rotation with 12-hour shifts, including 7am-7:30pm, 11am-11:30pm, and 3pm-3:30am
- Weekend shifts are required
- Uses ultrasound guidance and vein finder equipment for IV placement
- EMR system is Epic and Epic experience is preferred
- Responsibilities include inserting IVs and vascular access devices for both pediatric and adult patients
- Work in a Magnet-recognized, Level I Trauma and Level III/IV NICU facility
- Scrubs may be any solid color except for surgical departments
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted with a rate differential applied within 50 miles of the facility
- Parking is free for night shift and discounted for other shifts with shuttle service available
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years pediatric vascular access or IV therapy team experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Pediatric vascular access team experience including HemeOnc or ICU settings
- Demonstrated skill in ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder equipment
