Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in high-volume, acute care environments for a Level III trauma center assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital imaging department with three dedicated CT suites
• Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds
• Primarily evening mid-shifts from 3:30 PM to midnight, Monday through Friday
• Patient population includes general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical care cases, with 90% ER/ICU patients in the evening
• Over 100 patients seen per 24 hours
• Equipment includes Siemens Dual Source CT, Definition 64, and Definition Edge 128; prior experience with specific machines not required
• Uses Epic for EMR and Change Healthcare PACS
• IV pumps (Alaris), Pyxis for medication dispensing, MedRad injector used
• Up to five CT techs on shift during business hours; three CT techs after 5 PM
• Floating is typically not required
• Call required 1-2 times per month, primarily for night shift roles
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• Support available from lead CT tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and radiologist (on site during day, offsite at night)
• CT transporter service available except between 4 AM and 9 AM
• Department orientation for at least one week, with extension as needed
• Scrubs required in any color with a professional appearance (no logos or designs)
• COVID vaccination is required
• Free parking provided
• Approval of requested time off is at the manager’s discretion
• First-time travelers considered if they meet acute care and facility experience requirements

Requirements

• Current BLS and ARRT (CT & R) certifications required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Minimum of one year acute care CT experience in a large Level III (or higher) facility
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Experience in general, diagnostic, interventional, ER, and critical care CT cases required
• Cardiac CT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
