Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist experienced in advanced cardiac procedures and possessing current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab serving adult and geriatric patients
- Perform procedures including cardiac implant closure device placement, stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotabladder athrectomy
- Responsibilities include scrub procedures, equipment setup, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekend requirement is a minimum of 1 day per week and 1 full weekend every 5 weeks
- On-call required: 4 weekdays and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule
- Must be able to work assigned major holidays based on assignment length and facility policy
- Returning travelers must have been away from all related facilities for at least one year
- Travel pairs cannot be scheduled for the same shift in the same unit
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO); no RTO allowed during the first week
- Full compliance with all documentation required prior to start
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly and compliance must be met to start on time
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year recent Cath Lab experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Proficiency with sterile technique and life-threatening arrhythmia recognition
- Experience with cardiac implant and stent procedures, diagnostic and left heart catheterizations, IABP, PCI, PTCA, rotabladder athrectomy, and scrub roles
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations
- License required if applicable
- Two supervisory references from managers or higher required for consideration
