Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in Level 1 trauma and Siemens CT equipment, with BLS, ARRT RT (R) (CT), and SCRQSA (R) (CT) certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 trauma, teaching hospital setting
  • Assigned primarily to the main CT unit, with floating required to sister facilities including Rutledge Tower
  • Treats a varied caseload by shift and location, including adult trauma patients
  • Utilizes Siemens CT equipment and the Epic EMR system
  • 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
  • On-call rotation with staff is required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected
  • Duties include performing CT scans on a variety of patients, including trauma cases
  • First-time travelers are accepted if they have relevant experience
  • Previous permanent staff, including PRN, must have a one year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Modules are completed pre-start and average four hours in duration
  • Scrub attire is teal top and black bottoms
  • Parking is available, with a $20 one-time fee for nights and weekends
  • All requested time off must be included at the time of consideration; approvals are based on unit needs
  • Candidates may only be submitted to one facility and unit at a time
  • May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
  • SSN and driver’s license required for consideration

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Active ARRT RT (R) (CT) and SCRQSA (R) (CT) certifications required
  • Minimum of 6 months Level 1 trauma experience required; 1 year CT experience preferred
  • Experience with PIV and Siemens CT equipment required
  • Experience working in a Level 1 trauma environment required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Radiation badge required; must be provided by the agency
  • Applicants must live at least 60 miles from the facility unless approved as a local candidate
  • All required licenses must be in hand at time of start; pending state licenses not accepted
  • License required if applicable
